New officers for AASG

The Association of American State Geologists elected a new Executive Committee at its annual meeting in Deadwood, SD, in June.  The new Committee, which took over the reins of the Association on July 1, consists of:

John Parrish (California), President [right, credit, CA Geological Survey]
Jon Arthur (Florida), President-Elect
Joe Gillman (Missouri), Vice President
David Spears (Virginia), Secretary
Michael Hohn (West Virginia), Treasurer
Rex Buchanan (Kansas), Editor
Dave Norman (Washington), Statistician
Steve Mabee (Massachusetts), Historian
Harvey Thorleifson (Minnesota), Past President

The new Executive Committee is energetic and enthusiastic about carrying on the work of the Association as we move forward into a new year.
