In between enjoying the grand AZ geology, I hope some of the AASG members will consider nominating a publication for the GSIS Best Guidebook Award.
Geology field trip guidebooks that were produced from 2013-2015 can be considered for the award. Via this award, the GSIS seeks to recognize the value of guidebooks and reward examples of excellence. In addition to being outstanding in content, the nominated titles will be evaluated according to the criteria outlined in the newly revised Guidelines for Authors, Editors, and Publishers of Geologic Field Trip Guidebooks (http://www.geoinfo.org/Guidebook%20guidelines%20for%20authors%202015.pdf).
Send nominations to the chair of the Guidebooks Committee, Linda Musser (lindamusser@psu.edu; 105 Deike Bldg, University Park PA 16802; 814-863-7073).
